How would you answer this philosophical question?

I already know the right answer, but maybe it depends more on your opinion.

Are these the same statements at first glance?

I am great, the rest of you suck so I deserve special treatment.

I suck and you all suck so much so I deserve special treatment.

Is this supposed to be a philosophical question? How do you determine that?

------------------------

That. are not necessarily philosophical questions per se, but rather statements that can touch on philosophical topics.

Hello goodies👋🏻

I would say, yes. Why? Well, because in both scenarios a single person claims special treatment for themselves, regardless of how they feel about themselves. The person can beShe doesn't share these scenarios and demands something that she doesn't grant to those around her, be it out of arrogance or out of the feeling that she finally wants to win something, it's her turn.

Ultimately, she will come away empty-handed from both scenarios, because finding yourself shitty or great doesn't qualify you for special treatment, whatever that might look like.

------------------------

I would say no.

The first statement is clearly arrogant because the person admits that he is the best and the rest are below him.

The second statement is more depressive and shows dissatisfaction. The person doesn't seem to be happy with themselves.

In the first statement, the environment (other people) can be avoided. In the second statement, the environment is forced to react according to its ideas.

But it could also be that what I typed is wrong, but that's how it happensto me :)

------------------------

"Are these the same statements at first glance?" - No ... although I see this as more of a linguistic/content question than a philosophical one. To what extent there is a "correct" answer to the question of how any person X first feels about a message (or here two, and thus their mutual relationship), I also find it incomprehensible.

------------------------

Two different causes and one identical consequence.
